My HP Pavilion g7-1310us Notebook battery is losing life. I did the battery check and it says I should calibrate it. I've never calibrated a battery before. When I had my first HP laptop that ran on XP, I hadn't done it. All I did was just replace the battery. For my HP Pavilion laptop should I calibrate the battery or just replace it with a new one?

Check at HP, Testing and Calibrating the Battery and Battery information center.

Why not try the calibration. If it makes no positive difference, then replace it.
