I want to set my keyboard to US and somehow, I don't know why but my keyboard changed over to British. I am supposed to use this code but don't know where I do that. I tried terminal but that didn't work.
set xkbmap us
Thank you in advance

xkb is pretty low-level stuff. You would be better served to change your keyboard settings using the appropriate Gnome or KDE tools if available. If for some reason you can't use those then you should use the Fedora system level tool for configuring your keyboard, which I believe is called system-config-keyboard.

I went into tweak tools and then typewriter, but couldn't see anything like that, tried that code you posted in terminal root, nothing happened.

What desktop are you using (Gnome, KDE, XFCE, etc)?

Well it should be in your user menu under System Settings->Region & Language or somesuch. I don't have Gnome on any of my 'puters to check though.

Thanks Saul, still looking, it will probably bite me when I get to it.

EDIT: I finally found and fixed it, thanks Saul (after about 5 hrs plus)
