you've probably all seen erisians photos from sweden here:
My visit to Sweden. i have been aching to post my own as a complement to his, but i had no way of importing them to my hard drive until i had a working card reader. now i can finally show them! hope you're not tired of swedish landscapes and architecture by now. can you picture us walking around in sweden, hand in hand, each with a camera in the free hand?
ORSA
maypoles are kept all year round
fields and red houses in the late afternoon sun
more red houses. it's quite idyllic, really.
the highest point of the old school house
characteristic orsa style chimneys against the evening sky
frost on the fields on another of our walks through orsa
the old baptist chapel, one of my favourite buildings
the greying old houses around my family's old cottage. there was snow on the ground here.
a "härbre" near the cottage. this type of little house is found all over scandinavia and they were often used to store valuable food or textiles in - far up from the ground there is less risk of getting animals in to destroy the goods.
GÖTEBORG
from our visit to the old army buildings
look at those towers! they remind at least me of old fairy tale picture books
a view of the main building from the exercise quad
architectural details - i can't resist them
arches, opening up to the exercise quad and the buildings opposite
the cannonball pyramid seen against the main building
