Trying to use Iterative Refocus, but not having much success. I downloaded Unshake, but having even worse luck with it, as I can't get it to work right, haha. Any heads up as to deblurring a photo? Here's the one I'm trying to make better.

this outcome has been obtained by using Octave Sharpening by David Moreno (there is also a version 2 more flexible)

Thanks Molly. I spent a week in Vermont last week. Went for a walk, and came across 2 baby chipmunks. I started talking to them, as I always do to animals, and this one came right up to me. Here's a photo my wife took of me, taking this photo:

dinasset, that's a similar result to what I got. I know my results never be perfect, I just always think It can be better, I guess. Maybe that's about as good as it'll get.

you can try this method to see if it makes any difference...

Very nice Wallace, thanks. I did everything like you said on the thread, but instead of setting the new from visible layer to overlay, and adjusting the opacity, I set it to grain merge. Nice result.

This is another attempt I did. I used Unshaker this time. Then, I took that result into GIMP, duplicated the layer, sharpened to 40, then set the layer to Value. Before and after:

Those are all really good results Warrior.
I think the one where you used Unshaker came out best.

Ran wavelet decompose and played with some sliders and duplicated other layers from the result, then applied the result selectively. Not a perfect solution by any means. Maybe, if you can figure out the right convolution, a de-convolution approach can be tried, but that's pretty hard to do. :)

Nice work Lyle. That's the thing with me when it comes to the de-convolution, etc, is that I simply don't understand anything about it. I like the programs that figure it out on their own, haha.

me too, so I wrote a small filter to implement that tut (you know I'm a bit lazy...)

You can also use the grain extract/grain merge technique but with a motion blur that lines up with the motion blur of the source image. Here was a quick go, I measured the blur at 6px at 66degrees:
