Hello, this thread i could be interesting for some reasons.
In this case i was thinking on my own experience trying to find good resources to make the best image editing on my works. (yes i also make photoretouching)
lot of times i find that there is a lot of info about one subject, but we don´t have all the time in the world to learn it. so we need to go directly to the solution. and my challenge for you , is to gather only the best tutorials on the net about photoretouch in gimp or photoshop if we can mimic.. There are tons of ways to do things but some methods offer better results than others. so do you have THE BEST tutorial links arround the web?

Some examples that i am looking for.
Remove Color Casting,
Change skin color
Remove Backgrounds
.... and more.

Thanks for the help, i hope we all learn a lot with this.

Went monochromatic, otherwist, implemente ACE Grain Extract Overlay Degrunging, lots of cloning/healing brush work (and some healing Script-fu), and some Three Bar Sin Gradient Overlay blends for metallic skin (I like shiney skin; not all will). Not a perfect edit, but lazy I am. lol

:)

I do not understand well what you wish and why you posted that images :
you wrote are not for public use...fine ...but then for which use are for ?

1 ) as a example of the type of edit you wish to obtain
2) be used to illustrate various editing tecniques (and in that case the edited images may be posted only ...here usage condition)
3) for some other reason

i don't think is possible to generalize much about photoretouch any image will require a different treatment, also "photoretouch" for me is a bit vague,...basically is as to say "make nicer and more professional " but that may be interpreted in the most different way

sorry i really didn't got what you mean

Yes maybe i explained myself WRONG. these images are just to show what i am talking about, in this case the type of retouching that i am looking for. or better for sure. I am interested in learn more about photoretouch in gimp. These images are retouched entirely with Gimp Left=Retouched and Right=refference. But they are posted to motivate people to investigate more in depth photoretouch in gimp. i assk good links for tutorials with the not so "explained" things.
A good example posted by lylejk. "ACE Grain Extract Overlay Degrunging" it is not very common at least for me. Gimp has a lot of good plugins but they are very unknown, that is what i want to learn, the better tools that i can have in gimp. and how to use them. for exmaple , fx-foundry is very good but i have no idea what are useful for the most of filters. :D (i am exploring) that is the idea that i am promoting now. i hope to be clearer now. just let me know what do you think all of you , that know lot of gimp features and plugins. i am listening

I believe can be done various retouching photos and all somehow pleasing.
Unless there is a pre defined as ideal, the end result will depend on the preferences of those edits.

Reduce some imperfections, but only mildly. Declined to give an appearance of dummy. I reinforced the textures and sparkles, giving a magnified the image sharpness.
I like this result.

Hola Ramón!
Here is one more person is not going to respond to your request (about tutorials) :)

I just mean that it takes lots of practice rather than tutorials. In the following thread I had mentioned some techniques I use:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5904
I guess you'll have no problem in relation to "re-paint" textures :hehe

To give a final touch to the image you can use Beautify Plugin:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4811

Saludos.

Edit:
This is not at all a achieved work, just the beginning. But you can see how it is possible to save time with Resynthesize in simple steps to start.
Image
In a new transparent layer paint with a solid color the imperfections to remove. Select with "Select by Color" tool the painted parts. Go back to the original layer. Then in that layer apply Filters > Enhance > Heal Selection (Resynthesizer must be installed)

Molly
It's good to see that is to your liking! :)
Not much changed the picture, but it is precisely my intention. Do not give the appearance of studio, but more natural. (if one can call it natural)
thank you :bigthup
