Clip Paint Studio - Conceptual Art Graphics

Wed Sep 09, 2020 8:34 am

I had the opportunity to test out Clip Paint Studio on the school provided Surface Go. It beat out AutoDesk Sketchbook for the starting job at sketching. I was impressed with the 3D capabilities on setting up character positions and movements. For anyone who likes drawing comics (I'm sure they already have their own programs, "desk, pencils, paper, and ink") this is a fun app to program your pen and drawwwww away.

There's the FREE (trial period of 3 months) and the $25.00 version and if you're into animations and anime, the $109 version.

FREE is still good, right?

The way I understand it, the "free" version is a time limited trial, so I won't be indulging.

I hate those "trials", too. If GIMP performed on a tablet like it does on a desktop (as far as pens go), I wouldn't be looking. Can't have kids struggling with laggy applications, it just adds to their frustration.

AutoDesk Sketchbook, however, is "outstanding" and FREE, permanently. (Which we will be using) No need for an education discount, there.
