Alter/replace colors

Hi @all,
long time no see...
I am searching for an app to replace colors by other colors.
For example, when I have an image where there is some black and lightgray, I want to replace them e.g. by red and light red, blue and light blue and so on...
Has anyone of you a recommendation for that?

GIMP is a good one 
3 quickies in its menu
Colors > Map > Color Exchange...
Or
Colors > Map > Rotate Colors...
Or
Colors > Map > Gradient Map

Or
