Since this is an 8bf, I put it as other graphic's applications even though it uses the same G'MIC-Qt that GIMP currently uses. Thought I would share here even though this is a GIMP forum. lol

Just glad someone finally did this. Only issue I've seen is you cannot run multiple operations within G'MIC-Qt (at least not in Irfanview). You have to execute one operation and save by exiting the plugin and then execute another G'MIC operation. Still, for folk that use other programs that are 8bF friendly, this one's a keeper. :)

Can't thank you enough for the notification. Christmas came early this year.

Nice, the pixel editor I'm using at work supports only x64 plug-ins. Had Luce and couple other .8bfs but nothing will be as useful as G'mic. Thanks for sharing.

Works for me in XNView but it launches painfully slow. I have 2.36 (yes; don't update much). lol

:)

OK; just updated to 2.49. lol

Still painfully slow but launches; executes filters fast as usual, though.

Do have to add, that, while in XNView session and you launch G'MIC again, it comes up quick, but if you close XNView and re-open it again, it starts off slow first then back to normal. Not sure why this behavior happens. Irfanview launches superquick. :)

Got it working in XNview now, but like you said, it takes forever. I had to include the actual folder with the 8bf file to get it to work. Strange, but... it works now.

I created a share folder where I store all my PS filters and share that between Irfanview and XNView (keep an extra copy for PS filters that still work for GIMP in the GIMP folder structure). Not sure why XNView takes so much time to launch G'MIC the first time, but if you launch it again, it's fast. IF you close XNView and re-open it again, it will be slow the first time once again. Not sure what XNView does for plugin management but it's strictly with XNView since Irfanview launches consistently fast. :)

I'm waiting on GMIC to be available for open source video editors like shotcut and kdenlive.
