If you click on "Send to Gimp" and you have my gimp release installed, it should open your work in Gimp.

Please let us know if it does not.

Thanks,
Partha

Just a note - I implemented basic c2g support in delaboratory, so if you are able to compile code yourself you can check it http://code.google.com/p/delaboratory/wiki/Development

Is delaboratory a Plugin or a stand alone program.

@ Jacek - I gave up when my compiler said "looking for symbols"..."memory exhausted" :lol
Apparently i need more processors for wxGTK to compile correctly. :) - I had 574 mb compiled.
Guess i will have to wait until Delaboratory with c2g comes out of beta stage.

@ Graechan - Delaboratory is a stand alone color correction software which can export images to Gimp-2.8 (Parthas version).

We will probably release 0.7.2 binary, so you don't need to wait for 0.8. It's still a long way - current user interface still requires expert skills (understanding what is colorspace), user interface in 0.8 will be simple.

The first observation:
c2g in Delabolatory works several times faster than in the Gimp (GEGL).

Any way to allow the down and up arrows on the keyboard to select from the drop down menu instead of using the mouse always? :)

I use mouse/tablet to work with menu, no experiences with keyboard :)

About c2g.... speed depends on "samples", more samples gives you slower algorithm but less noise.
Radius doesn't affect speed, but "halo" depends on it.

You could try to use "luminance" mode then decrease opacity.

If you want to blur/curve/anything first, then you need to add "copy" layer and then blend last layer to copied "0" layer (click invert and play opacity). Have fun.

also gegl c2g speed depend very much from the setting, the default is not too slow but as soon you increase the value it really slow down.

Did anybody tried to make a confront gegl-delaboratory c2g using similar setting ?

PhotoComix please notice that:
1) delaboratory uses simpler algorithm, idea is based on gegl c2g, but this is not the same
2) delaboratory uses 32-bit channels while gimp uses 8-bit
3) in gimp you call operation once, in delaboratory preview is autogenerated each time you move slider, and full-size image is generated just before save / export to gimp

delaboratory version 0.7.3.1 has been released

this version introduces "basic user interface", with buttons like "CMYK curves" or "LAB vignette" you don't need to operate on conversions, you don't need to understand colorspace, you just click one button and then set sliders

in the background I am working on stability and I am trying to separate wxWidgets code so it will be possible to create gtk+ or console client (in far future, months)

there is still some work before full 0.8 release but you can see the direction in 0.7.3.1, have fun

delaboratory 0.7.3.3 has been released, it fixes all known stability problems on Windows and supports pseudogrey from this thread: http://www.flickr.com/groups/gimpusers/ ... 198258246/
