Hi There,

Today I was learning how to draw a glucose shaped prism like shape. After creating that I got the look of an incomplete envelope. I tried to complete it and I was successful. (At least I think).

Suggestions and criticism are welcome.

With Best Regards.

Very nice rendering! :bigthup
It does however look a bit flat.
Perhaps adding drop-shadows to the overlapping folds, would help it to look less flat.

Thanks Mr. Wallace. Drop shadow is such an important aspect in drawing that without them things appear to be far from reality.

I added 'drop shadow' where it was needed. Now it is very much better than my previous attempt.

No problem Rashid.

This looked like fun,
so I thought I'd also make an envelope using Gimp.

Excellent. Very neat.

I am not able to refine drop shadow that much in Inkscape as you have done in Gimp. In my previous attempt in Inkscape I used 'pattern along path' option in Inkscape. This time I used a different approach for border and I could not do that.

I enjoyed making the envelope.
The shadows really make it pop.

Today I tried to improve the drawing in Inkscape. I applied gradient to stroke and then blurred it.

You may be wondering the reason of such odd size envelope. In my mobile phone screen I have such an envelope icon which is in accordance with with other icons.

I hope you would like it.
