I'm not so clever at installing plug-ins...
I downloaded Lucis Art Pro and then extracted the zip to my C/Program Flies/Irfan View/Plug-ins
When I check in Irfan View - Help - Installed plug-ins it doesn't show, therefore I've done something incorrectly.
Can anyone please tell me the correct way to install this plug-in, I couldn't find any directions online.
Thank you in advance.

Try this:
c:\Program Files\IrfanView\Plugins\Adobe 8BF\LucisArt.8bf

As MareroQ told you :
- only take the LucisArt.8bf component of the plug-in pack
- place it under ...IrfanView\Plugins\Adobe 8bf folder

Open Irfanview, open an image, go to (menu) Image>Adobe 8bf Plug-ins, select LucisArt 8bf
Then choose the effect (for instance Whyeth) and click on the ok symbol
edit:
-this is true for Irfanview-32bits
-for 64bits there is one step more, after entering Adobe 8bf Plug-ins you don't find Lucis, you have to select Effect Browser then select, load and execute Lucis

Interesting - when I use in irfanview I get asked for a registration code.
The Lucis Art Pro link is not helpful.
What do I need to do.

In the zip file for lucis plugin, there's an embedded key. The key works but I had to copy/paste it in. When I typed it in, it would not take for some reason (and yes; I'm not blind; lol). :)

I got mine from - http://itroshni.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/ ... -free.html
I now hope this was legal.
Anyway, thank you MareroQ and dinasset, clear instructions.
And thank you lylejk, a decade of perseverance gives me inspiration, congratulations.

You have to have exceptional eyesight. Copy/paste is the best way to go but on a typical text editor those last characters can be difficult.
