I just upgraded my OS to LinuxMint 18.2 Cinnamon this morning and wanted to see if all my apps (including the ones running under wine) worked correctly. I figured I might as well post some of the rendered outcomes here. Animated with Aviutl, encoded to gif with ffmpeg.

Good attempt to mimic vibrations, though the oscillations are too slow and the movement is horizontal instead of vertical.

My bike has a Twin-Cam 88 CUID engine with a counter-balance and therefore has minimal vibrations. It's not like the "Paint Shaker" Harleys of old...

On this side of the Atlantic we used to call them Dentist's Friends due to their effects on tooth fillings. Ah, a twin cam, all my engines have been that way since... 1984.

Twin Cam engines were around long before 1984. I hope you aren't trying to impress me, because you will fail miserably. I've already forgotten more about engines than you'll likely learn in your lifetime.

What exactly do you ride anyway?

Except for HD designers...

Future tense, lifetime, me. It has been a long while since I heard these three in the same sentence

Well, I've been riding for 40 years and also raced for a number of them. I also have a wall full of trophies, but who cares about that? Anyway I've owned 20 bikes through the years and I currently own 3 motorcycles. Besides my Harley, I also own https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_Hayabusa and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_GSX-R1100.

I gave the old GSXR-1100 to my son when he turned 18 years old. I will likely give him the Hyabusa when that bike bites the bullet.

Just an FYI, the flywheels on the old Harleys had a tendency to become unbalanced. Balancing them always eliminated the shaking.

Yes, Harleys use roller bearing cranks that are pressed together the flywheels and crank pin. It is easy to get the cranks un-true over time.

It is similar to the roller bearing cranks on my old dragbike Suzuki's. The remedy there was to first true the crank, then to weld the crank pins so they won't move again.
