Graphics. I used Mandelbulber 2.20 for most of it as well as Gimp, G'MIC and Audacity.
Video Editor. My first time using Davinci Resolve 16 under Linux. I have the free version. I will use it again but it's very different to other editors I've used. You need a minimum of 32G ram to use the 'Fusion' effects.

That's freakin' awesome! I love it and tried to download it, but so far not successful. I'll figure it out soon.

I have used this online downloader for big HD videos, and to bypass the necessity to log into YT.

Sometimes it has jammed or didn't succeed at first try but always got em downloaded.

Hi Wallace, I checked the copyright stuff. It appears the estate does not own live performances. This one is 50 years old from Stockholm 1969 Attributions are on the video. YouTube actually suggested me the Creative Commons version. Audacity makes it easy to duplicate tracks and add some delay to one of them and mix back down.

I think racer-x wants to download Davinci Resolve not the video. I can post some links on how to make resolve work on Linux. Starting with the free version is a good idea. Resolve won't take mp3s or even mp4s as inputs and it outputs as mov files. It's a very 'studio' app.

Cheers to Nidhogg and Skinnyhouse. Old rockers or maybe not so old. Issabella - I use keyframing in Mandelbulber and also in Davinci Resolve and use alpha on most of the clips. racer-x understands how to make the animated effects.

Actually I was referring to downloading the video. I downloaded the 1080p version using FF+VideoDownloadHelper+Companion App. Not interested in Davincy Resolve, I don't have the hardware needed to run it. I don't really need it either.

That's exactly what I use to download the clips I re-use. Audacity opens video files as a waveform

Hey Taz, I installed DaVinci Resolve today in Linux Mint. It won't launch, any ideas?

At first it complained about needing opencl.so1, so I installed it. The installation ran more or less ok, but I cant launch the program. The extra programs will launch, but not Davinci Resolve. I'm thinking this is a GPU error, I have on board Graphics and no GPU.

With an nvidia card I did this.
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcuda.so /usr/lib64/libcuda.so

I found it doesn't accept mp3s as input so I converted them to wav with this.
ffmpeg -i input.mp3 output.wav
I don't think it takes AVI either. I had to convert to mov.

On the rendered file I did this.
ffmpeg -i input.mov -vcodec h264 -acodec mp2 my-video.mp4
