I actually discovered this open source gem several months ago, but only recently (like way late yesterday; lol) figured out how to really use it right (easy to do, too lazy to explain, but the documentation is on that site and the attachments so you are on your own on this one. lol). Just wanted to share with you another cool toy. :)

Someone recently posted that Microsoft might be releasing these gems in order to maintain the Windows base. lol

Not sure, but maybe Wine can run this program since it's just a command line executable Cecilia. :)

GAH! I hope someone makes this possible for compiling in Linux. I'm not in makefiles and configuring.

For your sake, I do hope so. Still believe it should work in Linux via Wine though, but I'm not that proficient in the Linux world (but do know the magic of sudo; lol). Anyway, decided to host this one elseware to spare Tux bandwidth. Now experimenting with half split symmetry, but do admit that I eyeballed this and did make a few errors; overall, it still cool. What do you all think? I am attaching my batch file and target file that I fed into the executable fyi. :)

It didn't even budge with Wine, or with Q4wine. I think it has something to do with needing to call up the freeimage.dll, it needs to be in the path somehow, so I macro'ed that and it still didn't work, but it did manage to pop out the screen 3 times, but it then closed.

Hey Cecilia; went ahead and redid it using Resynthesizer to create background fill before running the script. Still don't like the black background (there are color options for that in the program, but to me, it looks worse then black; lol). Don't want to take any more of Tux's space, so using another host for this one. :)

Lyle cool program but can these settings be modified -

# create rendering
infile=..\\example\\ptest.jpg
outfile=..\example\\ptestpoincare.jpg

The batch file runs but produces no image for me. :)

Thanks!

I just noticed i needed another slash. :)
Added it but to no avail still not working for me.

I am assuming the bat file has to be in the examples folder with the image correct?
Then you just drop the ptest image on the bat file?

I created a shortcut for the program itself on my desktop. I then drag and drop the batch file (the text file) onto the shortcut on my excecutable and it runs. Note that the jpg files has to be in the same location as the batch files (could edit to reflect differently but lazy I am; lol). The original batch files that came with the program were modified and saved under a different name as you might have figured out. :)
