Apophysis (apop for short), is a fractal maker. It is free and Open Source. And well it is like GIMP's Filters>Render>Nature>Flame, but more advanced. I am not even sure what everything does in it yet.
But I figured I should show this to you guys :D
Apophysis

I have included some of the things I have come up with so far.

I know they are not perfect, (just got this about 5 minutes ago), but those are some examples
Greentunic's Fractals (Made in Apop, much more advanced)

Hope you like it,
Willy

Definitely like Apophysis. I downloaded Apophysis 7x awhile ago since it was suppose to be tweaked for Win7. Haven't played much with it of late though (I have little patience sometimes for the wait though I mellowed out a little recently; lol). :)

This is why we usually look for topics before posting them. There isn't much in the way of software that nobody here is aware of.

Yeah I hate the wait to save it. It takes a Looong time for a nice Quality PNG Render :/

Well Sorry Mike,
Willy

I guess this can be deleted then

I have this too (version 2.02) ....it's great the way it just puts out a "flame"....but it takes so long to master...I am in awe at how the deviantArt artists master it to create all those beautiful images....I hope to master that one day... girl can dream right ? :))))) lol

I've been playing with Apophysis for a few years now and some really neat stuff can be made with it.

Yep :D I tried combining them, and well it didn't work great, but if you play around long enough I am sure something cool could come out of it :D

Should I set up a DA for posting some of these that turn out good?

Finally found this thread. I downloaded the program today. I have version 2.09 and I'm wondering how would I add plugins to the program? I have it on my desktop & I'm running Windows 7.
