Been using Inpaint for more then a few years now. They have a new feature with this version called multiview which makes it easier to remove objects if you have multiple captures of the same seen where folks are moving of course. :)

Have to admit it's been a long dry spellat GAOTD PC. Finally, I hope it's the beginning of more graphic programs again. I check daily regardless (only takes a few seconds) as I do Sourceforge too. Another cool place to check is Betanews (http://fileforum.betanews.com/) by they close shop usually on holidays and weekends (but not always). :)

I have been subscribed to their email for quite some time now.I just check that and if it looks good i open the webpage. :)
This is a big step up from 1.6 to 4.3.
Makes me wonder if i missed a few releases :lol

After trying it out on an image of a ship it still doesn't impress me.
Nothing but sky and water and it still looked pretty crappy for bigger images.
The free wire worm adobe plug-in is even better imho.

For smaller erases in smaller images it seems to work pretty good though.
But it is a free give away so what the hay. :)

Not sure if you knew you can move the anchors to sample various locations of your image for the heal step Rod; sort of reminds me of a Resynthsizer but better for this application. I even created a launch (via Shell-out) for version 3.1 (haven't changed it for 4.3 yet) and have occasionally used it but, as I recall, it looses the path info so you have to browse for the file that Shell-out creates. Anyway, overall, I do like Inpaint's results but it's still not the panacea that I would like. :)

I don't think there really is any cure-all way to do it.Even my CutGrow seems to have trouble at times. :)
