Never really knew anything about MyPaint, but now that I've tried it I really really like it!
Here's my first painting that I've made in MyPaint (only changed some contrast in GIMP). Took me about 2 hours roughly, so this one is a speedy one kinda.
And yep, more trees again :)

Also a process video (I now use HyperCam which seems to work good enough for me, so thanks to Mokonafan's suggestion I can finally record my desktop again! :D)

You are coming along very nicely BaukjeSpirit. I like the way you have the light coming in from behind and shining through the forest.
I use MyPaint and I like it a lot. Actually I go back and forth when there is something I can't do in MyPaint, works great.

Wow - that is so beautiful and enchanting. There ought to be some fairies around somewhere.

I looked at my first MyPaint Attempts, then I look at your first attempt.... :cry ... :lol
You're just naturally good at any program you touch I'm convinced!
I love the differing contrasts and your trees are always so surreal looking! :D

Btw idk if you saw or not but I have 7 videos of how the brushes in MyPaint work.
It's all "Set #2", I was gonna make pamphlets for ALL of the videos but I ended up only doing 2.
I still feel bad because of that. :\

Anywayssss here's a link if you wanna take a look: MyPaint Brush Demonstrations 1-7 (Video,Offsite)
There's a list of the rest of the videos under the video 7 explanation.

baukjespirit: i agree with merrak about the atmosphere in that painting - really lovely work! the light really has something magical about it, maybe a place for fairies like erisian says.

Thank you everyone! :D

Erisian:
Who knows what magical creatures dwell in this forest :)

Mokonafan:
Lol, thanks!
And those were some informative videos :) I've tried some brushes, the mixbrush in particular. That's the thing I really miss in GIMP.
And btw, do you (or maybe someone else) know if there's a way to get texture brushes in MyPaint or perhaps how to make your own brushes for it?
