Someone at another site I frequent shared this one with us there. It's currently still free (caught my eye, I admit; lol). It does a very good job too (hence why I'm sharing here). Hope you all like. :)

Just curious, would you rate it better than, Luminance HDR?

It can load RAW. Quote: "It's simple - Just drop any single picture into AutoHDRTM and process with one click - no need to create multiple exposures, use RAW files or manually mask areas or brush on effects. AutoHDRTM works it all out for you!"

Thanks Lyle. Pretty nifty little program.

It was exactly that " no need to create multiple exposure or use RAW files" to raise my doubts:
may be no need but supposing i instead feel the need is supported or not ?

but what about shellout ?

LuminanceHDR seems more powerful and flexible, but AutoHDR take also care to offer some cool presets many developers found irrelevant work on such triviality as support and offers presets and find good default, but for users often is the opposite ..
And offering good results with the default, and some cool effects they may win in users even respect more powerful and flexible concurrent

Thank you for the info PhotoComix.
It would be nice to give AutoHDR a go but it needs Microsoft .NET Framework and I'm on Linux. I know Wine can use Mono (an open-source version of .NET) but I don't have any experience using it so I'm reluctant to try.

Sorry for the late reply PC; I've not tried shellout, but I've been using it as a drag/drop situation anyway with single jpegs (did not even see how it handled RAW yet; lol). It can use multiple exposures too so you can get more accurate HDRs I suppose, but I really only use such programs as shadow/highlight situations anyway. G'MIC can do pretty much anything this utility does, but I like how it handled enhanced contrast without adding noise to the sky for instance. Not too many if any programs check for such things so it sames a cleaning step. :)

Edit: check what I posted as a response here: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/52781111
