I know this isn't a MyPaint forum but some people here do use it so...

I tried to open it with my pinned shortcut, that didn't work so I tried again...Still nothing so I restarted the laptop...After restarting I clicked the icon STILL nothing so I unpinned it and tried to open it in the start menu still nothing.

Is there something I can do or do I have to reinstall it??

try to start clicking on mypaint.exe, in the program folder

If works make a new desktop shorcut (right click on the exe, chose "send to desktop" )

Still doesn't work.

Not even when I reinstall.

It is a very small app so won't take a few mins to reinstall.I would try that then clear your cache, then reboot your PC. If that doesn't work, maybe someone will mention some other method.

I don't know what Cache is, but I already reinstalled it and it doesn't work.

Looks like the Portable version Mokonafan. Just install to any directory (a portable folder on your desktop for instance), and run the binary from that folder. Because it is portable it is self contained and should run as is.

I downloaded the zip and un zipped it to a PORTABLES folder on my desktop. Worked fine for me.

Ditto ...install where you like (but not program files ), then just find the exe and run it
And if works (it should ) you may create a new desktop link as i explained before

That is really strange Moko. I think you are the first person I heard that had a problem with that app. That is too bad cuz it is has some very nice brushes and more.

Which version of MyPaint?
If you have a tablet attached, unplug it, reboot and try opening MyPaint without the tablet.

And I don't have a useable tablet I use a mouse.

I use Linux for my OS so this might not of much help. Most of the time when I encounter this kind of problems, I execute the program in the terminal (DOS command prompt in Windows OS). There would be a buch of messages (Often times with big WARNING allover) that would give clue to whats wrong. Then you could do a websearch based on the messages and often times there would be a forum or article that tells you what to do.

Try opening your MyPaint application in the DOS command prompt and show us the messages that it prints out. We might be able to find a solution together.

Have you made any changes to your system recently, like adding brushes or scripts?
Check, Windows recovery options.

I never installed anything to MyPaint that I know of.
It could be a windows problem I suppose. I don't know. :\
