I'm happy to learn several aspects about shadows and perspective. I thank this teaching to my friend Dinasset. :) :tyspin
Having in mind these aspects, I did this one .

Stunning, Issabella! Your best yet in this thread (OK, maybe I only looked back a couple of pages in this BIG thread). The elements, composition, and shadow really make this one pop. May I use it to inspire my students in class? (no money involved, public school, K-12). However, I would first have to learn the technique myself so I can teach my students while their interest is greatest.

PolarBear, it would be fantastic you used it to inspire your students in class. Once you get the gang of it, it's very easy. Ask any doubt you have as OMG, Dinasset, and many members here and myself will help you. Thank you so much for your nice comment. :tyspin

Issabella - a very neat and 'nifty' image from you again, demonstrating my favourite expression 'onwards and upwards' :clap

All these wonderful recent contributions have obviously done something for my imaginative juices ... there I was sitting lazily on the edge of Darling Harbour (part of Sydney Harbour) as the day started to close in, when I looked up and saw 2 glass hot air balloons coming in to land and they brought Mt Everest and the Himalyas with them ...

... no it was not the mushrooms again!

Beautiful, even more. I love those colours and your fantasy in the whole outcome. There are a lot of poetry in what you say, too. Our imagination can do we to live memorable moments. :coolthup :clap

Olmangrummpy, the balloons look like real jewels. I like them very much :bigthup

Issabella, I love the little sparrow :kpix
Did you create it with an outline illustration or with a colored photo?

I created it using a template in this outcome. It was a little difficult for me to find the open points among so many feathers in the wings. :tyspin

The swan is beautiful, Issabella. I think what happened with my post is after I saw it after uploading I realized the color and darkness was different than what it looked on my monitor. I deleted it as there were no comments yet. OMG must have been making his reply at the same time. I will fix it in the morning and post again.
