OMG, I like your outcome a lot, specially your transparent glass sphere. I'd like if you could explain a bit your steps to get it so nice. :) :tyspin

Issabella - thank you for your kind comments.

In this case I have to say there is nothing 'special' about the clear glass sphere, it was created in the standard way.

There are 3 layers involved here - the lowest layer being the clear glass sphere, created using BRL (round 1 bevel, contour depth 20 & edge smoothing 4) and and my 'gemclear' e-map. I then reverse the selection and trimmed the overlapping edges from the resulting BR Logo.

I used the same circle selection to copy Nemo's head, placed it on the level above the BR Logo in Burn mode and placed it so that the BR Logo 'e-map effects' seemed to come from Nemo's eye.

On the level above that, again using the circle selection, I just filled it with the standard GIMP 'pool bottom' pattern, again in Burn mode. I did trim that pattern by selecting Nemo's head shape, so that the pool bottom water only filled the edges of the glass sphere; the remainder was transparent.

Hope that is clear :)

Pat625 - your roses and the statue of liberty are both charming renditions. The glass statue and flickering flame are :kpix
