I really don't know how that became transparent, AnMal. I had 5 bands all the same size to begin with. Bands 2 & 4 I made the height of them about 1/3 less than the other bands but they were the same as the others, just scrunched down. The transparency may have happened in the process of changing the Orientation Rotation. Just don't know.

Here is an interesting result, started off with a diagonal cross, then ran the map object>sphere and set all rotations to 45'.
