Welcome to Gimp Chat.
There are several links out there to find fonts, I lost the one I had so don't remember the name. Here is one of the several.

I tookup the challenge of attempting to find this font. Tried every identity tool I could find on the web with no result. It must be a well hidden, unrecorded freeware creation.

Gave it a shot. Hope you find it!!

The problem with Identity programs is that they don't include the possibility of any photo manipulation that was done, like with this font. Using automated is more than likely out of the question

Yes, there should be a way to post the font as an image in one of these Font finding sites. I was lucky when Cecilia found that one I wanted so badly, Just love that font.

I converted the image to black & white & removed all of the manipulation, and still had no luck. Looks like it could be based on this one possibly... http://www.identifont.com/identify?34+%20+J7T+F2T+87+9J+DG+8W+5QE+8C+2ZI+1U6+PAE+53K+79+1KS+99+8E+4N+2AA6+2C6+8R0+JI6+G39+7P+7VQ+1KI+7S+3WO+8N+4D+1QY+8B+7G+A0

You can alway fill the character shape with black beforehand.
