It'll take time and experimenting. Getting that graphic boost filter right isn't easy but that's not a bad job. I like the background.

Its a gradient I have. Got it out of a package, I'll see if I can post it somewhere.

Nice work YAFU. I just want to point out that my statement to Drac was a pragmatic point to answer his. I wasn't upset or angry, just mildly disappointed. I really don't want anybody doing this tute because they feel sorry for me - I'm a 47 year old man and I can take a few knocks. Because I can't help feeling that these results are being posted just to make me happy, I'm asking for this thread to be locked. I never wanted this.

Well, I kinda got stuck on the place where I made all the squiggleys but this is the best I can do on this one. I will try it again.

I don't think anyone is trying to do because they feel sorry for you, I believe, at least from my feelings and how I feel, that they are posting out of respect. We love the tut, and we love to see how others do it and interpret it. I posted mine because I asked for the tut because the effect was pretty awesome and was actually an effect I was looking for. And if you don't want to make anymore tuts, that's fine too. Its your opinion and how you feel is completely fine anyway it is.

Maybe I'll do more later depending on the response others get for theirs. For now I'm sticking to art - it's what I'm best at.

this was really fun! i was out looking for a text effect because i was getting tired of my signature and this worked so perfectly with what i had planned . i decided mine wasn't ribbed metal, more like layered, semi-opaque glass in art beads - nothing could be lovelier .





(oh, and i hope you realise i only did it out of pity for your sorry efforts at a tutorial, you poor thing )
