I went ahead and made a deviant art account, and downloaded these themes.
The themes came from here: https://www.deviantart.com/migf1/art/Cl ... -484289796

The themes don't work in the theme selector but I think they do work on their own if you're not using the theme selector.

With the theme selector, it throws an error:
Image

I also found this set of themes:
https://www.deviantart.com/android272/a ... -375010811
Which also don't work with the theme selector, but I think they will work if you don't have the theme selector.

I'm missing the Light GIMP theme that came with it. I accidentally deleted it. Is it possible to get it back, OR will it be in the new update and I won't have to worry about it?

You can try this if you like.

Thanks Wallace. :) I wonder if anyone using the theme selector, has the themes I found, and has them working with the theme selector?

A theme that doesn't work in the theme selector is this one: Image

When I try to load it using the theme selector, I get this:

I had to reinstall GIMP. That was uneventful to say the least. Now, I'm having trouble with the Theme selector in gimp 2.10.32. All I get is this this theme:
Image

I followed the instructions and the theme selector comes up with the themes, but when selecting a theme for gimp, the theme doesn't come up when restarting gimp.
Image

I'd have to go into GIMP's preferences and change the themes. Even then, only a few themes work or I receive an error and GIMP will crash.

Within GIMP:

Where I store my themes:

and here:

Any help would be good.

Hi Mackenzie. There are two themes folder in your Program GIMP 2. You already have it in this location: C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\themes
You need to copy all those themes and paste them in the first share location:
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\themes

Show me the three location where you have the themes, please. So I can figure what is wrong.

Pocholo,

Here is where the themes are located:

I realize it's too many locations, but the only location being recognized by gimp is the location of where the system themes are.

Delete the themes from your Profile folder: C:\Users\macke\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\themes you don't need them there.

Outside of the GIMP, in the Program(86) folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\GTK2-Runtime\share\themes
You need to have the "GTK2-Runtime" folder with all the files shown in my photo:
Image

Then click the, share\themes and you need to have the same themes just like the other locations.

I have the folder:
Image

I also have the themes in the share location.

The theme I'm seeing when loading gimp is the Light one ... the standard one for gimp. I still don't know why the theme selector isn't working.

Within GIMP's preferences on GIMP 2.10.32,
this is what I see:
Image

Also with in the preferences, not all of the theme selector's themes show up.

Here are a few that do:
Image
Image
Image

I've only listed 3 screenshots of the themes out of the 35 screenshots that work. I was trying to test them all out, and so far, 35 of them work within GIMP preferences.

As soon as I did what you said,
I'm back to this:

I said delete the one from your Profile GIMP 2.10 themes folder. It should still show in GIMP> Edit> Preferences> Themes
You have to leave them in the other locations
C:\Program Files (x86)\GTK2-Runtime\share\themes
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\themes
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\themes

**Now, when you use the "Theme Selector", Are you selecting the Themes when GIMP is open? If you do then nothing is going to happen. You have to select the theme you want with GIMP closed.

I will try that and see what happens. I use the theme selector when GIMP is closed.

My themes folder is empty:

The themes are in the 3 locations that you listed:

This is what I see in GIMP>Edit>Preferences>Themes:

Lets try one more thing and if it don't work, I don't know what to tell you. You have it just like I do.
Anyway let's try this last method; Go to your Profile folder: C:\Users\macke\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10
Go down and delete the file named "pluginrc" and "Themerc" and restart GIMP. Usually this method fix some files in the plugin folder and themes folder by refreshing if it were any error before.

This method didn't work. :( Oh well.

Hi Mackenzieh.
Your screenshots show that you have two versions of Gimp installed:
c:\Program Files\GIMP 2
c:\Users\macke\AppData\Local\Programs\GIMP 2
You install in one but run the other?
I suggest: uninstalling both versions and reinstalling Gimp.
