That's not very likely to be implemented, as the undo history can take a fair bit of memory, so saving it on the xcf files would probably make them way too large...


This could be possible if GEGL non destructive layering comes into being.
That has been discussed.Have each layer keep its own history in a node type environment?
But i bet those work space files would be huge also. :)
