Thank you! I'll update the original post.

I have been wanting to know how to paint that little fairy for a long time. I didn't know you had it FP. It looks hard.

Well, a couple of years ago it wasn't hard, but I can't say it'd be easy today. I'm older now! If I can find my base files, I'll let you know how I did it!

Saulgoode did it once and did a really nice job but he didn't byte when I hinted how to do it.

Using a large brush to follow a path within a circle to color it effectively.

Yes, I knew that part Rod but how to make the dress one color and the hair another and so on is what like the fairy one. I have no idea how to put one color at a time. Looks hard to me.
I would need a detailed tute on that one, remember I am dense :teeth

I believe it is just separate animations that are then added together to form one. :)

fencepost, I tested your script following the tut "Simple Animated Shapes" and it worked correctly, but the step in which you taught the way to reverse the path an error message appeared. The problem is that when GIMP is translated, the gradient's name automatically changes which prevented your script to find the gradient "FG to BG (HSV clockwise hue)." As this gradient is not important to the functioning of the script, but only for demonstrative effect of inversion, suggest you put an alert in the tutorial for those people who are using the GIMP in other countries that do not use the English language. The same happened with a script that had a brush "clipboard" which in Portuguese, was translated by "área de transferência." I reported this and the script has been adapted to other languages.
Translation of the error message: Error to execute fp-script-fu-vector-direction. ...... The gradient 'FG to BG (HSV clockwise hue) was not found.'

I added a comment to the tutorial. Thanks for pointing that out and my apologies for the problem.

Art this is one of my favorite tutorial a ideal complement for the script

I left a comment, and a question about the update on the script page , i have no idea how often you visit DA so i repost here too :

The scripts requires really ALL the old brushes, or the dependency is limited to a few ?

I ask you because i am installing now on my Gimpainter that has already a lot of brushes, i am fighting to keep the quantity of brushes under control

So if not strictly needed i would prefer not reinstall ALL the old brushes , were a lot mostly almost clones (same brush obly size different)

I like much this script so if reinstall the old brushes is required to run it, or even to run it at best , well i would reinstall

But i would prefer solve reinstalling the less old brushes possible, hopefully not all
