The zip file is a Script-fu so all you have to do is place this file in the Script director for GIMP. I don't use Ubuntu (use Win7), so you will either have to find a compile for Ubuntu GIMP or do it yourself for the Twist plugin since it is a plugin. :)

I never even realized there was a script for AC's...I always made them from scratch...only takes a few steps, but the lazy in me kinda likes the script idea.

That's cool samj but I sort of like the assymetrical look as well. I guess I'm more Venetian as opposed to Florentine as far as art is concerned.

The script is not finished yet. Options for the asymmetry will be present.
The symmetry will be maintained with the vertical axis.
There may be variations in shade ...
I may add a random function.

Bonjour,

Here is the script-fu : Butterfly_3.scm

Unzip the zip file Butterfly_3.zip and install the script-fu Butterfly_3.scm

Filters > Distorts > Butterfly Wings V2 ...

The filter "Twist" version 2.1 must be installed. Download : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6732
