Carlos: That look like the background from my "Golden Royal Red Text Tut.". :hi5 Great deal, it enhance the effect of the text.

conbagui, excuse me for not mentioning the due credit to your background. It is so beautiful that it became the patrimony of humanity.

I was quite a lot embarrassed as I couldn't get a good result to such a wonderful text tutorial that Dalia wrote to be made in Gimp. So it's now that I have the nice effects in order I've been able to do the text once again with a better outcome, Thank you Dalia. :tyspin :paint
Wonderful outcomes of all of you, well done! :clap

That is truly beautiful Issabella and the words chosen lend themselves to the feel of the font and the look.

Thank you very much, Molly. You're very kind. I really wanted to repeat my outcome as the first one wasn't good. Now I have the effects in order, I think. :tyspin

Dalia, somehow , I seem to have missed your tut before. I found it quite difficult and my Gimp kept freezing. So I had to do it about four times. In the end, with lots of saves I got to the end. I tweaked individual layers to try and get as close as possible to your outcome. Thank You for this tut, but with twenty layers or so I will not be using this style very much.

wbool63, I'm so sorry you had such a hard time. I fell in love with this ps tutorial - it took me four months to get it to look like the original. Yes I must have a disorder. I found that if I used the newer version of layer.py I'd have problems.

Your result is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for trying it out.

gimper love your effect also, you achieved what I tried so hard to do - that textured effect in the background; excellent!

Hi Dalia, thanx for the tut, beautiful work. I'm wondering why/how you can 'right click' your layer to get the layerfx menu, I have to go to script-fu for my menu. I got lost on the stroke step, but I'll keep trying?

RJKD, you're very brave. I put this together when I was really learning. If you don't have it you should download the layerfx.py plugin and install then restart GIMP. When you open GIMP back up and have your project open you should find the effects by right clicking on the layer you want the effect on.
