Text line on your backgroundI will try to explain how I made this,I've kept it as simple as possibly to make not mistakes myself because English is not my language this is a good basis, afterwards you can experiment yourself to make a nicer pictureopen gimp and make a black background 1000x600
01-then create a new transparent layer 02-click in tools on the Text tool letter A 03- select a font (I chose sans bold) and set the size to 30 04-choose a color (I chose c79a4b) any color is good because we do later an over lay 05-type your text (My text is gimpchat) and repeat until the line is full plus one more time, This is then passed the background, but we move it laterselect your text layer and 01-Duplicate your text layer 02-select your move tool click on your text and slide it under the first text line 03-slide the second line of text to the left (or right) this gives a better effect that was also the reason that the text line should be longer than the background01-click now on the transparent layer and the black background the eyes out by clicking on the eyesselect a text layer, right-click on the text layer and 01-merge visible layersmake the eyes visible again by clicking on the eyes
01-duplceer the text layer 02-select your move tool click on your text and move it below the top text layerduplicate the text layer again and slide it under the layer above Do this again and again until the background layer is completely filled with your text01-click the eye of your background layer out 02-select your transparent layer, right click on that layer 03-merge visible layersClick the eye of the background layer back on01-click on the text layer right 02-layer to image sizeNow I get a picture under water (you can use any image that you like) 01-place it above your text layer01-put in your layers dialogue the mode to overlay 02-overlayNow you will see in your text a color change The outcome depends on the type of image you are usingNow go to your tools and click on the text tool A01-choose text font (I chose keep on truckin ') 02-choose the size (depends on your text) 03-type your text on your imageNow go to your tools and click
01-the perspective tool 02-go to your image and create a perspective of your text 03-If you are satisfied, click TransformGo to your layer dialog and check that the text layer is above all layers 01-Now click on the mode 02-click overlayYou will now see your text, but it is not so clear
duplicate your text layer two to three times, now you will see your text clear over the background charactersYou may NOT merge the layers01-Create a new transparent layer 02-select the paths tool 03-make a design on your image with the paths tool
I made a simple design, you can bend the lines to your own ideaswhen you have finished your design then press the enter key on your keyboard
your design is now selectedNow 01-select your paint bucket 02-select a bright color 03-click once in the center of your design, it now gets the color of your choiceNow go to Select and then x none
01-set the mode to Overlay and duplicate the layer two to three times Your image is now readyNow you know the basics, you can now experiment with designs of your choice lots of fun gimper66
