Nicely done. I especially like the reflection of the letters onto the word "Perspective" .

I'm having trouble getting my text to fill the canvas. When I chose Fill it seems to not actually fill the canvas. I've tried tweaking it to fill the canvas, but my text keeps breaking up. Leaving gaps on the right.

I've changed the text setting many times and can't get it to fill like a block of text that will fill the page.

I've had similar issues with preformatted text. I.e. from word docs etc. The one solution I found is to open the text in a simple editor like notepad, which strips any kind of formatting and copying it from there into gimp text editor.

I actually did that, with the same thinking, but I still couldn't get the text to form a block that filled the canvas. It kept wanting to keep sentence structure and not conform.
It's non-conformist text. :hehe
I did come close, so maybe I should just go with being close.
Every little bit of text isn't going to be visible in the final image any way, right?

Edit...

I finally got the text to conform, so I can now continue on with this tut. :yes
I copied the text again to Notepad and played around with it a little more, moving things around a bit. That did it, as we both thought that it should. :bigthup

In spite that Wallace has already solved the problem, I send you all a pattern mine with text in .png format for those who could need it. :)

Thanks for adding that Issabella. If I'd thought of it I would have done the same.

Thanks for the tutorial. I kinda went off on my own and used several your ideas to produce a somewhat different result. One of the things I did was to use 3D-Extrusion for depth, rather than blur.
