Here are tutorials i found and worked on.
I like the cloud one really easy to follow but my clouds are not as pretty. LOL

This one is how i learned to do the old pic look on gimp. Well actually as I was looking for what they were explaining I found the plug-in for it and it auto did it for me. LOL

Pretty nice looking cloud from scratch!
I use either Darlas cloud creator or Filters Unlimited for Gimp.
There is also another cloud creator script here
