You did fine to me Issabella. The nuance (embellishments, et.al.) just requires time and patience (experience and play). :)

Pat, your snowflake is nice and bright. Maybe if you put it on a dark background it'd seem even brighter. I like it. :bigthup

Pat625 - Really like that snowflake especially on the dark background :hi5 .

I remember way back when I first started it was a a Wallace BRL snowflake that got me involved with that script!

I have tried this chrystalise thing but cannot seem to get any decent results - looks like I had better have another try

Lyle: For what it is worth, I have not yet given up on your "crystal binge." Still trying to improve! For this I used your tut instructions and played with the color, blending modes as suggested. I also used Issabella's background pattern that she was so nice to share with me. I modified it with G'MIC and added Light effects. Used some cloning here and there to improve. Made it larger this time. Hope this is an improvement!

Using two different layers (slightly different targets) and difference followed by equalize is the way I like to do these Pat. Regardless, the best thing is to have fun. :)

Lyle: Here is another try. At least I am persistent! I know a lot more I could do to this but it is late here and I am tired. Maybe later add to it. Suggestions please.

Thank you, Dinasset. I'm really trying to get that crystal glass look. Have been trying your new script version also. I need practice, practice, practice.
