I'm curious by how things work/transfer from one program to another; a challenge. Honestly, Photoshop never thrilled me and less so now.

This little tutorial only requires the font and a knowledge of what contours look like (in the beginning I'd read "rounded slopes descending" and I'd go :gaah ) It's a good tutorial for newbies like myself. Having said that - found this that helped me identify what some of those "stated" contours are.
