Following a (persistent ) request for a tutorial on the filter Chisel or Carve, I am putting together a series of such tutorials, addressing the filter itself and the parameters thereof (Tutorial 1) and then four different ways I use the filter to produce images.

The first two tutorials are attached below together with the extra files required for Tutorial 2 - which is geared to creating an image something like these examples -





The starter.zip contains a 'starter.xcf' file and a README file which provides further information as well.

There is also an additional ZIP file containg extra textured medallion backgounds but I will have to put it in a seperate post as I appear to have reached the maximum number of attached files.

As usual targetted at neophytes but probably OK for others too; all care taken but please let me know if there are any problems
