Asganafer,

Investigated your tutorial and found it very informative.
The results are very very striking.
Noticed that it was posted on the website in the Italian language.
So I am in process of translating it so that I can utilize in the future.

Thank You,
Mainah_Ayah

(Following translated via Google translate, please excuse any incorrect meanings.)

In seguito tradotta tramite Google Translate, scusate eventuali significati non corretti.

Idagato il tuo tutorial e l'ho trovato molto istruttivo.
I risultati sono molto molto sorprendente.
Notato che è stato pubblicato il tuo sito web in lingua italiana.
Quindi io sono in fase di tradurlo in modo che possa utilizzare in futuro.

Grazie,

Mainah_Ayah

Great detail. Adding the birds flying and the clouds really sets it off. :)

What is it that you can put on your page that a user can ask for the preferred translation and it is done for them? (Usually icons of maps) You will not have to do it then.

Thank you so much for that link.
Now i can expose my forum to the world in multiple languages.
I wonder why Gimpchat.com don't use it.

I have a kind of confession - I didn't use a single layer mask, that's my homework for next week. I haven't got my head round masks yet. I used paths, selections and cut and paste. Thank you for the direction :tyspin

A translation of Asganafer's Book of incredibles tutorial from Italian
to English utilizing Google Translator has been completed.

There is a minimum post rule that precludes me from attaching
a file or document to message(s) until the post rule minimum has been met.

A multi-page PDF file of the tutorial translation that includes all required
images is available for any Gimper that requests it from me via PM.

You will be able to post images after a minimum number of posts. I think the number is 5 posts.

Ok, I've got my head round the basics of layer masks, however, I can't figure out why I'm making a mask of selection in step 1 of the tutorial? I only have transparency where the book was. Can anyone explain please?

@RJKD you make selection if you have a white background or a not transparent background :) In this case is not necessary :)

PS: here you can fine d the second part of tutorial --> http://www.asganafer.it/book-of-miracles-part-2/
