I used a similar method to make my "Claw Marks" Mint wallpaper. I'll have to try out your method too....

The claw marks came out sweet! I like the thickness and texture of the red surface!

Those claws are not from a grizzly bear, maybe something more dangerous?
Glad you are using LM. I mostly use that and Xubuntu.

PhotoMaster Thanks for this tut. I've been looking for something like this to make tombstone lettering.
I have used the beautify filter to get a gloss-3D effect on marble.
