Opened Master Videoencoder and selected 'AVI1' encoder from the drop down menu and it makes an AVI with the same number of frames as the XCF. It's only FFMPEG in the gimp-gap we are using that is leaking frames. FFMPEG works in the rest of my system.
I'm happy with that. :pengy
