How about something like this?

I simply changed the direction of the wind blast and repositioned the text towards the top of the screen. The Alpha to Logo version has major problem with positioning and size, so I omitted it. (Check Filters > Alpha to Logo > Ice Fire... and you'll see what I'm talking about.)

I have to agree another look by the author into this script would be cool.Add a few more adjustments such as
fill and fill opacity with a drop down menu for fill type ..ie...plasma, color, gradient, or pattern.
Possibly add an outer and inner glow adjustment. Also add a flip value, and/or direction value.(rotation angle)
That would probably make the script very versatile for many textures.

Sorry Rod, the features you want would require a major rewrite of the script - it simply isn't designed to handle things like that.

Revised script is a couple of posts below

Logo part worked, but the alpha channel interface does not show up. Still pretty cool BK. :)

There is a major problem in the Alpha-to-Logo script.

Test the Alpha-to-Logo / Ice Fire... script with text in the middle of a larger image. (i.e. Text layer that is half the size of the canvas size.)

Have you tried turning the text to a bitmap via layer to image size (which keeps the transparent aspects)? :)

Looks good with 3D metal text but had to dup the ice layer, Cut the text out of the bottom ice layer and reduce the opacity of the top ice layer to 70. Great script. Thanks!

Looks good .That script has a lot of potential. :)
It needs a few more settings though.Like flip, and plasma.

Draconian, 2-ton, molly and Rod :thanku
Thank you for the welcome and the welcome back :wvy
Yes I know I haven't been around for a long time. However I have been checking in from time to time to see how things were going at Gimp Chat. I've had a lot of personal and health issues to deal with over the past 18 months and only came out of hospital after 5 weeks a few days before Christmas. But hopefully that's all behind me now :?: :yesnod

I know some time ago Jolie was very ill does anyone know if she is okay :?:
