This is the water drop tutorial I put together, taken from the original video done by TheGimpWiz, Geous
water-dropWater Drop Tutorial- Open new layer
- Fill with background of your choice
- Do some text (white) in a fairly rounded font.
- Center Font <Place random white dots around and between text.
Circle (11) brush. Scale 1.00 > 2.00 > 3.00
- Alpha to Selection
(leave selection on until the end of tute)
Channels- New Channel
- Fill Opacity 1.00
- Initialize from Selection (checkmark) OK
- Filters - Blur Gaussian 15 - 15
Click off eye of new channel
Layers - select text layer
- Filters - light and shadow- Lighting Effects
- Bump Map - Enable mapping (New Channel #)
Untitled - Linear 0.10
Material - Glowing 0.50
Bright - 0.25
Shiny - 0.10
Polished - 10.00
Light1 - Point > Directional 1.87
- color -1.52
- Intensity 1.00
Light2 - Point > Directional -1.57
- Color 1.51
- Intensity 1.00
Colors to Alpha -0-0-87-222-222-222 (dedede) OK
- Filters > Blur

Select BG layer > Filters > Map > Displace > x displacement 8.00 (Untitled) (New Channel#)
y displacement 8.00 (Untitled) (New Channel#)
Select cartesian and Wrap
Add New Layer (above BG) Bucket tool - fill with black
Layer > transform > Offset > x = 4, > y = 4 > wrap > Click offset
Press delete key (removes the black) > Select > invert > filters > blur > Gaussian > 15 - 15 Ok
Select NONE. (Keep your selection on throughout the whole tute down to this last line.
