How exactly do you guys get knots using IWarp? I tried different things but couldn't get decent results.

light brown color, HSV noise, motion blur
duplicated, desaturated copy and bump mapped
stained with a dark soft brush set to to overlay
tried to IWarp some knots :roll:

That looks pretty great with that frame Alc. That's pretty much what I come up with as far as knots. I've tried Grow and Swirl with different settings. I just can't get it to come out right. Maybe it's just a matter of perserverance

Your dresser looks awesome Erisian. I'm just looking for more varied and natural looking knots. I can make some decent looking wood with just grain. I figured out how to prevent what happened to the right.

I don't know how this guy became a gold member but it wasn't for tutorials like this. There is some vulgarity in the comments if you're easily shocked.
