Judging by the designs showing up in the glossy ball tutorial, I thought I would post this one, Its the first tutorial I ever wrote.

Most of the tutorials I write Initially are for me to remember how I got a particular effect otherwise I forget.

The only thing I don't understand about is setting the saturation to 75, and value to 50. That changes my original color to a pale yellow green. I skipped that part.

Quote:
open colour selection box
set your desired hue
set saturation to 75
set value to 50
Click OK

Very nice tutorial and well written but would I like an explanation about changing the saturation and value.

Later: Now I see that I needed to tick the Saturation and Value before I changed them.

I'll redo the tutorial and use those values.

another well written tutorial, he4rtY! i'm ridiculously fussy with glitter effects, so i didn't manage to make anything i was happy with, but that's just my obstinate personality and nothing your tutorial can be blamed for. the one of my balls i liked best was this

i wanted to wrap the paisley but it looked awful, so i just pulled it out a bit with iwarp (it's now official: me and iwarp are friends) and left it.

That's very pretty AnMal.

Here's my updated glitter ball where I fixed the Saturation and Value. I blinged it.

Just layers Mo. I had to use GAP to export an image sequence so that I could load it up in VirtualDub and save as APNG. The GIF version looked dreadful. I didn't use it to create the animation though.

I used the paths tool to create a guide and started by evenly spacing the balls. The balls simply have to follow the figure of eight one circle at a time.
