Nice tutorial. Here's my attempt.

I had to reduce the opacity on the "Sketch2" layer to stop it being too dark, but otherwise I followed the tutorial exactly.

Here's my original photo:

Have you apply the second hard sketch filter on Visible layer?.

Probably not... that was the bit I was slightly unsure about.
On the Sketch2 step, I had G'MIC create another new layer, so I ended up with this:

Should I just have applied G'MIC to the "Visible" layer?
If so, I didn't understand why it needed to be set to darken only first, then to grain merge.

May be my tut wil not understandable as i'd like.

All G'mic filter were applied in this order (bottom to top from Visible):

Hard Sketch 1 → Hard Sketch 1 Copy → Hard Sketch 2 (applied on Visible)

Visible Grain merge, 80%
Hard Sketch 1 Soft light mode
Hard Sketch 1 Copy Soft light mode
Hard Sketch 2 (applied on Visible) Darken only, 80 %

Sorry!!

Thanks for your patience, Jamac. Apologies for being completely thick here!
As far as I can see, I've followed the instructions but my version just looks different!
We seem to be the same up to the Hard Sketch 2 stage but I'm clearly doing something wrong there.
I'm selecting 'Re-show G'MIC' - then changing the values to the Sketch 2 settings. This creates the new top layer, which I set to Darken only at 80% opacity. However, my version of this layer looks different to yours.

PDF of my intermediate stages attached.
