Well, after many long nights since last week, I have finally finished writing up the last part of the Open Source Portrait walkthrough. This time it's all about RAW processing in RawTherapee, and the rest of my retouching workflow in GIMP.

I've included the RAW file, JPG, and .XCF file for the entire process in the blog post:

The Open Source Portrait (Postprocessing)

This part walks through the entire post workflow for retouching a portrait. I cover the basic RAW development, and in GIMP the background modification, hair touchup, skin retouching (Wavelet Decompose), contour painting (D&B), and finally a simple curves application for color.

It's long. Really long.

But hopefully it's useful? Please let me know if I screwed something up! :)

Thanks! I appreciate that! :D

You know, it's funny, I've been in a post over on /r/postprocessing in Reddit where someone really wants to know how to emulate GIMP's Wavelet Decompose in Ps...

It warms my heart when I hear that someone can't do something in Ps that GIMP can do, and they want help emulating the results...
