oh its just filling selections with gradients.... :shock:

i was under the impression you made a heightmap with gradients and used it to bumpmap...

that was what i tried to do with a dimpled gradient, but didnt work....

No problem, it's really an elementary thing, not much went into the basic shape. The first star I made took lots of time, because I was experimenting with how it could be done.
If you know how to create the chrome effect with gradients, then this is a snap to make.

I wondered if this was what you had done, I was the doing the same as esper and trying to create a height map. ready to apply lighting effects.

Yeah, it's pretty simple.
Getting the star correct is the most difficult part, but once you've got your star with it's ten sides, it's clear sailing from there.
