my future sister in law's birthday is on the 27th, but there will be so much to do before that and i have to make sure dad remembers to get ink and paper so we can print it in time, so i'm already done with the design - at least if you people don't come up with any really good ideas for improvements :).
my sister in law likes simplicity and that's not really my strongest point, but since she also likes flat art styles i think i managed to make something that would suit her.

I also like simplicity but I hate trying to make it, I think too much for it. :lol
I think if the white boarder over the flower bud (?) looks odd, I think having that over the border would add some character and make a bit more sense...But that's just my eyes, what do I know?! xD

Very sweet, I'm sure she'll like it! :3

Hi AnMal.
As you know your sister-in-law, I'm confident you have picked a style appropriate to her taste.
I note the birds understandably are the only things painted breaking with the brush style of the rest of the image.
Based on that maybe you could add a very small insect on the flower stalk somewhere.
Maybe an Aphid, Ant, Butterfly or Ladybug etc.

Your variety of styles seem endless. You are a talented lady :bigthup

mokonafan: i hear you on that leaf or bud or whatever it is, sister! i'll change it. thanks :)
fluffybunny: thank you very much, sister :)! i did worry a bit about that single break against the brush style, but i've decided to leave it as it is. it needs to keep the simplicity as much as possible.
he4rty: thank you! i'm happy with the composition.
erisian: thank you! and thanks for liking it enough to inspire me to go on with it when i had given up and for helping me get those birds out of their stiff and frozen state.
