There's probably and easier way of doing this.

I duplicated the layer because it was very small. There may be another way to make this kind of small 8x8 dot pattern, but I haven't found a way yet.

Try it and see. :mrgreen: Just don't have snap to guides or canvas edge checked.
The smallest I've went so far was a 6x6 canvas, using the pencil at size 1.

I did have both those checked and came out with this.

What does unchecking them do?

Unchecking them give you more control, so that your brush or pencil does not snap to the guide or canvas edge.
That looks good Molly. :bigthup I see that you added a drop-shadow too.
