To hide all the paths at the end you can just shift-click the visibility icon of one of the paths (this hides all others), then click again the same icon (to hide that last path). No need to merge them... (but of course, having as single path is easier if you want to delete them afterwards).

Good tip. :bigthup
I do have a shortcut key guide that I made and had laminated. Maybe I should break it out and use it some time. :hehe

I do the same thing you do to hide the paths Wallace (didn't know of Offnut's trick; learn something new every day about GIMP; lol). Nice tut. :)

I use that method all the time, hold down shift and click an eye, you can do the same to turn them back on.

Thanks you guys. :jumpclap
That Shift-Click to hide all visible layers wasn't on my shortcut key quick reference guide. :(
Time for me to create a new shortcut key guide.

Well Wallace I watched your video and it was during that I realised what was causing my path stroking problems (elsewhere)! So thanks for that as well as the snowflakes.

Molly I just love your shiny metal snowflake - 'brilliant' in many ways.

I put some personal input to mine and it turned out to have invisible candles inside, making it a bright glowing snow flake - and it did not melt, but it was not too hot today.

No problem you're welcome and nice work on your snowflake. Whatever it was, I'm also glad that you were able to figure out what was going wrong.

I made somesnowflake tiles with combinations of selective stroking - Ofnuts script offers endless possibilities, especially with snowflakes!!

Image

Somehow for me, snowflakes must be mostly blue.

EDIT ... and now I have learnt more about brushes, spacing settings, and stroking (thanks Carlos Diniz, Graechan et al), some more snowflake tiles ...

Image

... this path in-betweener script just offers so much opportunity to be creative!!

Yes, I think of them being blue also, or a light aqua and a very light blue.
