This is a timelapse video I made while painting The Sleigh trip.This is admittedly less GIMP and more MyPaint. But actually there is almost no GUI shown at all so I see this as a rather program-ambivalent video. I annotated the video extensively so it works as a workflow tutorial, maybe. Hopefully it can be useful for those interested in doing painting on the computer. :)

It's really therapeutic watching other artists work - as well as informative. This is a beautiful video.

griatch: i can't watch videos at the moment (saving internet credits so i can watch luciamorgon tomorrow :-) ), but i think the result of the work looks lovely. great work on the lighting as usual and it looks like you really know how to paint snow. i also like the composition of the picture. when i get to a computer with a bigger screen i'll be looking at it in more detail.

@Erisian

I find it's actually quite useful for myself too, to see how I did something some years back. From a "theatrical" point of view the very first part is usually the more "dramatic" since that's when one seens something appear from an empty canvas.

@AnMal

Hope you got to see the lucia celebrations. Thanks for the comments, glad you like it so far. The composition is a point of some contention since this image is not using the common rule-of-three placement of things. A bigger screen does help when looking at this indeed.

@Wallace

Thanks. :)
