Here's a chart I made showing some of the various 3D extrusions and the corresponding direction to use.
The extrusion depth used in this image was set to 8, with a drop shadow added.

I thought of making the video more involved. By showing a fully comprehensive use of the 3D Extrusion script, but decided against that.
My thinking for this was, that simple would be better. My feeling is, that most people are looking for simple, as apposed to long-winded/fully comprehensive video anyway.
It's uncomplicated and for the most part straightforward in it's presentation. The title says it all, EZ 3D Text and that's what I think I've demonstrated.
